Efficiency Measurement of the Commercial Banks with the Use of DEA Approach
Original language description
Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) approach is used to estimate the relative efficiencies for Czech commercial banks for the year 2012. Each bank is modelled as a linear system with multiple inputs and outputs. The first part is to choose which inputs and outputs will be selected and used for the analysis. The intermediation approach is used to define the bank inputs and outputs. The data are found in annual reports of banks. Then these data are applied. The results of these applications are pairing with the results of other previous studies e.g. Stavárek (2005) and the DEA theory. To estimate the relative efficiency of the chosen DMU?s the MS Excel, SPSS and DEAFrontier are used.
