The goal of this paper is to present the elements of the issues of crisis management modeling. Knowledge of these elements is essential for the creating models of crisis management. At the beginning it is paid the attention to the ideas of theory of chaos that have been applied to crisis management. It also points to the need for the concept of the organization as a system. Furthermore, it dealt with the presentation and comparison of different concepts of crisis. There is emphasized the multiply approach to the crisis. The entities of the crisis are presented. The following barriers and limits in creating generally applicable (fits-all) models of crisis management mean a challenge not only for researchers but at the same time they make the creation ofcrisis management system in practice more difficult.
