Possibilities of using CASE tools for designing Microsoft Excel tables
Original language description
Although Microsoft Excel is not a database management sys-tem, it took another big step to improve its usefulness as a data-base tool. Unlike the previous versions, it added, among others, mainly the possibility to understand tables as relational tableswith the possibility to define relationships between such tables. However, to design such a type of tables in Excel is not very clear and convenient. For the designing the tables it would be more convenient to use a CASE tool with the ability to export designed tables to Excel. This paper is conceived as a reflection on the possibilities and ways to use CASE tools for designing Excel databases.
