The Tax Burden in European Countries and Its Influence on the Economic Growth
Original language description
The main purpose is to the investigate influence of tax burden on economic growth in European countries. The panel regression analysis is used to explore the relationship between observed variables. Models contains 14 countries of European Union from the time period 1972 to 2013 and it was used data based 2000 to 2013. The most negative influence was proven for taxes on consumption. The impact of corporate taxes on economic growth is positive. The statistically significant impact of property tax and social security contribution were not proven. The force of effect of individual tax and value added tax is similar. It was revealed that the impact of taxes is stronger in short period in comparison with longer period.
