The use of linear programming in solving service tasks of mixed transport networks
Original language description
There are a lot of practical areas in which the need of planning routes of service vehicles can be met. It may include the municipal waste collection, street maintenance in winter seasons (snow removal, chemical gritting materials, etc.). The common feature of all these activities is effort to schedule the optimal route of service vehicle with respect to the chosen optimization criterion. The criterion is most often the total distance travelled. Linear programming can be used as a decision support toolon basis of which these tasks can be solved. The submitted paper describes a mathematical model that is used to find the solution of the Eulerian path on a mixed network. This mathematical model is applied to a set of tasks based on actual practice.
