Original language description
The financial market regulation issue has recently been drawing a lot of attention, and is caused mainly by globalization, financial crisis, but also by innovations in the financial sector and technological development. Interconnected European financialmarkets with a number of financial institutions operating across borders require an efficient, independent, coherent and consistent supervision system. The author describes and analyses the current system of regulation and supervision of financial markets in the European context.
