Contemporary conditions of highly competitive enterprise environment lead the industrial corporations' managers toward strategic orientation on innovations, which is essential for survival and reaching significant market position. In recent years managers started to deal with the best practices of the most successful firms, usually conceived as general rules, advices and innovative methods they use. However, it is useful to seek for inspiration from the best innovators, it is necessary to find own way of carrying innovations in an enterprise without only copying the others. Ability to create enterprise system supporting perpetual innovations distinguishes real innovators from the rest of the firms. How to manage innovations and innovative process? This question is considered in the paper. The aim of the paper is to work out analysis of innovation management and innovation process in chosen company in food industry concretely cooling plant production and to derive innovation principles valid for appropriate market of ice creams. Cooling plant Bidvest Opava, Ltd. was selected. The company belongs to the leaders at the Czech market of ice creams and is a subsidiary of Multinational Corporation Bidvest Corporation based in South Africa.
