Original language description
This contribution deals with the modelling of static and dynamic technical efficiency under conditions of municipal libraries serving the population of 10,000 – 35,000 of inhabitants. The aim of this contribution is to determine the level of technical efficiency and factors influencing the results of the modelling of static and dynamic technical efficiency of 48 selected public libraries for year 2011 and 2015. The model tests technical efficiency of conventional services of public libraries in output-oriented models. The results of static models estimate the value of average total technical efficiency (e) of city libraries (e =1.0291) in 2011 and (e = 1.0510) in 2015 in the output-oriented models. In dynamic models, the majority of city libraries achieved an improvement of efficiency in 2015 when compared with the year 2011.
