At present, companies can no longer afford to employ experts for solutions of all problems that employees and management can encounter. For this purpose, a field of counselling was developed, which deals with identifying the clients' problems and finding suitable solutions. This paper examines the growing trend of using information technology in consulting and aims to find out whether it prevails over personal communication in relation to the size of a consulting firm. The survey, which was conducted in the period September - November 2018 in the form of electronic questionnaire, seems to confirm this trend.
