Stabilization Policies: Selected Challenges in the International Context
Original language description
The publication "Stabilization Policies" is focused on various aspects which influence economic development in the small open economy, i.e. the policies of central banks, governments and similar institutions in the euro area. The main objective of this book is to give a particular overview of relatively independent topics which have the potential to (de)stabilize economic development from the international perspective, for example international reserves, exchange rates and interest rates. It also focuses on a crucial problem in the majority of countries, which is the indebtedness of economies. Furthermore, the book discusses how best to provide a monetary and fiscal policy response in developed countries, including to the impact of the financial crisis.
