Currently, a great number of running relational type applications exist. Simultaneously, however, some wiaknesses of relational conception are known, resulting into searching for improved objective reality form mapping. One of potential solutions ins object orientation of database systems in the way of relational conception extension. An object-relational approach is enebled by the ORACLE 8 database system. The paper tries to show how the new object-relational features could be utilise in the data modelling methodology development.
