The text is focused on the issues of an interdisciplinary approach onto teaching and research at the Universities. It focuses on the conditions, advantages and results of the cooperation between the humanities and technical disciplines. Using empirical data, it illustrates the benefits of interdisciplinarity for a development of competences of the University graduates (in terms of improvement of their competitiveness in the labour market). Referencing to the specific projects, it can document the use ofan interdisciplinary approach in scientific and research activities.
