The problem of nitrite and nitrate concentration stability in water samples were important for their determination. Determination of nitrite and nitrate concentration in water samples strongly depends on the sample matrix, preservation and storage conditions. The paper deals mainly with the experimental study of the influence of temperature storage, deposition, holding time and sample headspace for nitrate and nitrite determination by ion chromatography.
