Experience and Recommendations from Real Applications of RCM
Original language description
Reliability Centred Maintenance is a common title for many different ways of realization. This paper deals with full quantitative approach to direct costs and risks evaluation. The beginning of the paper briefly introduces the main principle of RCM process and then it is focused on failure modes identification, quantification of expectation rate and consequences. There are described reasons of uncertainty of individual inputs and there are recommended procedures how to decreased it. RCM is not one-timeprocess. The input data have to be updated and RCM outputs influence some inputs. The links are shown in process diagram. The paper is written according with long term experience with RCM application in refineries, power plant and aluminum factory.
