Original language description
The presented article provides the algorithm for investigation of the response on the unbalance force excitation with impacts of a rotor system supported by radial active magnetic bearings. The rotor was modelled as a flexible body using the beam finiteelements. The discs and the stationary part are considered to be absolutely rigid except a small neighbourhood of the contact point. In the mathematical model the radial active magnetic bearings and impacts are incorporated by means of nonlinear force coupling. Through numerical simulations the proportional and derivative constant of the feedback controller are used as control parameter to investigate its effects on response of centrifugal forces excitation caused by unbalances of the rotor system discs. Results showed that the system exhibits very rich forms of periodic, quasi-periodic and chaotic vibrations.
