Influence of Feedback Controllers on the Response with Impacts for the Rotor System Supported by Radial Active Magnetic Bearings with Cracked Shaft

  • Original language description

When excessive lateral rotor vibration occurs during start up, shut down of rotor, undesirable operating conditions, etc. components of the radial active magnetic bearing are protected from impacts by an auxiliary bearings. Impacts occurring between theinner ring of auxiliary bearing and the rotor and between the disc and the stationary part are investigated. The transverse fatigue crack is included into the mathematical model through the nonlinear shaft element derived on the base of the fracture mechanics theory. The impacts are implemented into the mathematical model by means of nonlinear force coupling, which is composed of its normal and tangential component. Applicability of new designed computational procedure has been verified by means of computer simulations on the testing rotor system. It was shown that the controller parameters can significantly change the character of excited vibration. The newly designed procedure makes possible to investigate the cracked rotors and impac
