Laser scanning confocal microscopy as a powerful tool for fracture surface characterization
Original language description
In this paper the LSCM technique as a powerful tool for the fracture surface examination was introduced. The main features of the fracture surface observed on the compact tension specimens like brittle and ductile fracture as well as the fatigue can be imaged using the LSCM technique. Combination of LSCM images with SEM micrographs brings many advantages for more complex fracture surface characterization.
