The development of cube texture in Fe-Mn-Si-Cr shape memory alloy by the preferential dynamicgrain growth mechanism is experimentally examined. The plane strain compression deformation at1173 K with strain rates of 2.0 x 10MINUS SIGN 3 sMINUS SIGN 1, 1.0 x 10MINUS SIGN 3sMINUS SIGN 1, and 5.0 x 10MINUS SIGN 4 sMINUS SIGN 1 results in the development of cubetexture.
