N-La/TiO2 Anatase-Brookite prepared by pressurized hot and supercritical fluids: On preparation, microstructure and photoactivity in azo-dye Acid Orange 7 photodegradation

  • Original language description

Abstract - The aim of our work is preparation of the N-La/TiO2 photocatalyst (with similarly constant low N and La loading) by the same sol-gel method as Dubnová et al., 2019, but its crystallization under pressurized hot water and pressurized hot/supercritical methanol. The effect of conditions of pressuzied hot/supercitical fluid crystallization (the water amount used for crystallization 1-2 L, processing temperature in the range of 25-250oC, processing pressure in the range of 10-30 MPa) on the purity, micro/structure, textural, optical and surface properties is evaluated. The physico-chemical properties of the N-La/TiO2 photocatalyst are further correlated to the photoactivity of N-La/TiO2 photocatalyst in azo-dye Acid Orange 7 photodegradation under 365 nm UV-light. The crystallization conditions are optimized in order to prepare the most photoactive N-La/TiO2 anatase-brookite photocatalyst which is further compared to pristine TiO2, N/TiO2 and La/TiO2 photocatalysts.
