Water-Swollen Composite Polyamide Membrane For Separation Of CO2 And H2S From Raw Biogas

  • Original language description

It is a well-known fact that the world's fossil fuel resources will be depleted over the next few decades. Specifically for this reason, there is an increasing emphasis on the need to find alternative renewable energy sources. Besides the other renewable resources, like water or wind, another important resource of the renewable energy is readily available. It is produced by anaerobic digestion of animal and plant biomass or other organic waste and is known as biogas. Utilizing suitable technology, the obtained biogas can be further upgraded into biomethane, which can be compressed and used as CNG. In this form it is an alternative to natural gas and it can be used in a wide variety of applications including transportation. The possibility of efficient transformation of biowastes and energy crops into the production of renewable biofuels has huge environmental and economic benefits.
