This work is focused on the preparation and characterization of NiO/TiO2 nanorods p-n heterojunction photocatalysts. As part of the research, the final activity of hydrogen production of photocatalysts from the methanol-water mixture by the photocatalytic path was also studied. Photocatalysts were prepared by two-step calcination technology. Photocatalytic tests were performed in the batch photoreactor. The reaction mixture obtained 100 ml of 50 % CH3OH with a sample of photocatalyst (0.1 g). Furthermore, it was saturated by He and exposed to UV light for 3 hours. An 8 W Hg lamp was used as the irradiation source. The gaseous samples were taken during measurements and analyzed using a BID-equipped gas chromatograph.
