abstrakt z konference 6th International Conference on New Photocatalytic Materials for Environment, Energy and Sustainability (NPM-6) a The 7th International Conference on Photocatalytic and Advanced Oxidation Technologies for the Treatment of Water, Air, Soil and Surfaces (PAOT-7) v Ljublani, konané ve dnech 4. - 7. 5. 2022.Photocatalytic reduction of carbon dioxide is one of the most investigated reactions in photocatalysis and has a very high potential because it addresses two important social issues of the present time, the global warming and worldwide energy shortage. Photocatalytic reduction of carbon dioxide has been studied extensively over the years. There is no doubtthat TiO2 is the most commonly studied photocatalyst. In this work, a conversion of carbon dioxide (CO2) into methane, carbon monoxide as well as hydrogen was investigated in presence of TiO2/rGO photocatalysts. Photocatalysts were prepared in two-steps: solvothermal method and calcination at 500, 800 and 1000 oC in argonatmosphere. The obtained samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), UV-Vis diffuse reflection spectroscopy (UV-Vis/DRS), N2 adsorption-desorption and analysis of carbon content. The activity of photocatalysts was evaluated in the reduction of CO2. The TiO2/rGO-10 without calcination showed the highest activity toward CO2 conversion while all rGO modified samples exhibited higher activity and selectivity toward H2 generation in comparison with starting-TiO2 as well as reference materials. It should be pointed that the highest selectivity of H2 production was achieved by samples consisting of rutile. Moreover, it was found that selected photocatalyst after rGO modification and calcination was quite stable. The enhancement of activity was attributed to the efficient charge separation and prolonged recombination time of charge carriers resulting from rGO content. Furthermore, the possible pathways of H2 production were proposed.
