Poster na konferenci 28th IUPAC Symposium on Photochemistry, která se konala ve dnech 17.-22. July 2022 v Amsterdamu, Netherlands.The photocatalytic degradation of methanol - water mixture take place on the surface of vermiculite by the action of iron ions that could promote the generation of e-/h+ pairs, which play role in the redox reaction. The similar proportion of one-and two-water layers in the interstratified structure initiated higher photocatalytic activity due to indirect hole transfer process via generation of HO. radicals. The photocatalytic activity of α-Fe2O3/vermiculite composites increased both withincreasing specific surface area and increasing crystallite size of α-Fe2O3. The experimental results showed that all theinvestigated photocatalysts exhibited higher photoactivity compared to the commercial TiO2 photocatalyst Evonik P25.
