    Corn silage was treated by white rot fungi (WRF) and the anaerobic digestion (AD) behavior of the material was evaluated by employing exponential and sigmoidal equation models to determine the effect of biological pretreatment on the complexity of biomass decomposition. Methane production after pretreatment with P. ostreatus (10 days - 28 oC) improved by 14.9 %. First-order reaction model was sufficient to model the AD of the raw and pretreated corn silage A with P. ostreatus at 28 oC for 10 days. Cone function that is also classified as an exponential model gave the optimal representation of the cumulative methane curve for the raw corn silage A and the pretreated material with. D. squalens, I. lacteus, and T. versicolor degrading by following a reverse L-shape curve. Incubation times of 30 and 60 days led to a change of the shape of methane production curve to a stepped outline that optimally modelled by the Cone and transference models. Three parameter sigmoidal models were unable to represent a S-shape methane production curve, whereas a fourth shape parameter included in Richards equation enabled an accurate replication.
