Comparative catalytic performance of Pt/TixCeySzOn and transition metal-oxide catalysts for dichloromethane oxidation
Original language description
Contribution to Doctoral Students Day on October 31, 2025.The objective of this study is to compare the catalytic performance of two sets of powder catalysts, both prepared by the co-precipitation method, in the oxidation of dichloromethane. The first catalyst set consists of TiO₂–CeO₂ supports impregnated with platinum, while the second set is based on mixed metal oxides comprising TiO₂, CeO₂, CuO, and Fe₂O₃. Catalytic activity was evaluated using light-off tests conducted in a temperature range of 100–500 °C within a flow reactor system equipped with an online FTIR analyzer for continuous monitoring ofreaction products.
