Storage of Electric Power ? Evaluation of Selected Systems Using the MCA Method
Original language description
This paper deals with evaluation of various options for storage systems used in electrical power engineering. Selected storage systems can be divided into systems with short-term or long-term power supply respectively, the latter being suitable mainly for operation in insular mode. Insular mode represents the ability of a power plant block to work into a designated section of the power network only, the so called ?island?. Evaluation of individual storage systems is performed using the vital suitable criteria and weights assigned thereto. The very evaluation of storage systems is conducted using a selected method of multi-criteria analysis (MCA). The optimal selection of suitable storage setup for electric power obtained from renewable resources is conducted using the TOPSIS method (MCA).
