The paper deals with the research in newly ? established Laboratory for Testing of High ? Temperature Properties of Raw Materials which is one of the scientific workplaces of Centre ENET at VŠB ? Technical University of Ostrava. It is aimed at the research in reductive processes which are typical of metallurgical industry. It studied reducibility of materials used as a blast furnace feedstock such as metallurgical pellets, sinter and iron ore. The paper describes possibilities of experiments which are possible to carry out. The paper involves experimental device description, requirements for input materials properties and possible testing methods. It sums up the first experiments and it deals with objectives and further development of the research in reducibility of blast furnace feedstock material.
