Maintenance analysis and optimization of a distribution network from practice
Original language description
Maintenance optimization problem is frequently solved in practice in order to prevent failures resulting from ageing and deterioration processes that could mean increasing risk. The problem may be solved by the use of different methods and algorithms. Inthis paper newly developed heuristic optimization algorithm, which quantifies the time-dependent unavailability characteristics in full machine accuracy as well, will be shortly introduced and used to solve the actual optimization problem from practice-there is necessary to find optimal maintenance policy for real Medium Voltage network in the Czech Republic. Experienced research team including specialists from both electrical engineering and computing math, managed by author of the paper was put together to take into account all operational aspects of the system. New improvements in maintenance of the system are designed and discussed in the context of unavailability quantification of the system.
