An automatically generated graphical configuration tool for the massively parallel library ESPRESO

  • Original language description

This paper presents a graphical configuration tool for the massively parallel FETI solver implemented in the open source library ESPRESO. The main aim of this tool is to simplify and speed up the configuration process, which is currently performed by special text files. These files describe the full specification including input data, solver settings, output format, and much more. Since the configuration file contains hundreds of parameters, the graphical configuration tool makes the setting significantly simpler. In order to keep the configuration consistent, the graphical tool is built automatically from parameters loaded from the library. Apart from the configuration, the presented tool offers parallel processing of input files and 3D visualization of a given model. When the configuration is done, the tool is able to start the local computation or transfer the problem to a remote server. The latter is the first step in our efforts to provide solvers as a service functionality. (C) 2019 Author(s).
