THE ROLE OF THE ASSESMENT OF CSF BIOCHEMICAL MARKERS IN THE DIAGNOSTICS OF NEURODEGENERATIVE DISEASES
Original language description
Several studies described the possible use of many new cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) biochemical markers in the diagnostics of neurodegenerative diseases (ND). Cystatin C was implicated in the neurodegenerative and repair processes of the nerovus system, andthe deposition of the same protein together with beta-amyloid peptide was found as cerebral amyloid angiopathy in different types of dementias. Tau protein CSF level increase was found in Alzheimer dementia patients. The aim was to examine cystatin C and tau protein CSF level and to assess their relationship to ND occurence.

Role stanovení biochemických markerů CSF v diagnostice neurodegenerativních onemocnění
Czech description
Cílem práce bylo stanovit hladiny cystatinu C a proteinu tau v likvoru pacientů postižených Alzheimerovou chorobou. Výsledky ukazují, že protein tau může napomoci diagnóze Alzheimerovy nemoci.
