Tumour Suppressor PTEN Regulates Cell Cycle and Protein Kinase B/Akt Pathway in Breast Cancer Cells
Original language description
Background: PTEN is a tumour suppressor protein with phosphatase activity frequently altered in several types of human cancers. Materials and Methods: The PTEN effect was studied on the cell cycle (by bromdeoxyuridine incorporation) and on the phosphatidylinositol-3-kinase/protein kinase B/Akt (P13-K/PKB/Akt) pathway regulating proteins.
Czech name
Nádorový supresor PTEN reguluje buněčný cyklus a signální dráhu proteinkinázy B/Akt v buňkách karcinomu prsu
Czech description
Transfekce nádorového supresoru PTEN snižuje aktivitu cyklin E CDK2 komplexu a inhibuje vstup buněk do S-fáze. Transfekce mutované formy PTEN snižuje expresi p27 a p21 a zvyšuje fosforylaci PKB/Akt.
