Die RFA in Kombination mit einer adjuvanten Chemotherapie verlängert deutlich die Überlebenszeit von Patienten mit Lebermetastasen kolorektaler Karzinome im Vergleich zur ausschließlichen Chemotherapie. Es wurde in dieser Untersuchung kein Unterschied inder Überlebensrate zwischen Patienten mit RFA und adjuvanter Chemotherapie und den Patienten gefunden, bei denen die Resektion von Lebermetastasen mit einer RFA der nicht resektablen Metastasen kombiniert wurde.
