Prostate HistoScanning examination in patients with past negative biopsy sessions: a pilot study
Original language description
Prostate HistoScanning is an ultrasound based tissue characterization technology that uses as input native (RF) ultrasound data recorded during the transrectal ultrasound session (TRUS). We explored the potential of HistoScanning in the management of patients with high serum PSA level and previous negative biopsies. Conclusion: HistoScanning may prove useful for risk stratification of men with negative biopsy session and has he potential to locate tumours in zones difficult to biopsy.
