    The introductory chapter, based on historical sources, summarizes the knowledge of physical examination methods in internal medicine from the beginning of medical studies up to the present. The chapter comprises the topic of Bioethics and responsibilityin medicine, the original texts of the Hippocratic Oath, the Declaration of Geneva, the oath of graduates of the Medical Faculty of UP Olomouc, the sources of the study of the principles of legal responsibility in medicine and the most frequent causes ofmedical misconducts. The conclusion summarizes the bases of medical documentation.
