Carfilzomib and dexamethasone vs bortezomib and dexamethasone in patients with relapsed multiple myeloma: results of the phase 3 study ENDEAVOR (NCT01568866) according to age subgroup
Original language description
The majority of multiple myeloma (MM) patients are 6+5 years of age or older at diagnosis (1). However, treatment of MM in the elderly remains challenging because older patients typically have a higher burden of chronic comorbidities, may experience increased drug-related toxicity, and are often ineligible for stem cell transplantation (2-7).
