Voluntary copper sulphate ingestion is a rare form of suicide. We report a case of copper sulphate poisoning in a patient who attempted suicide and presented with gastrointestinal symptoms followed by intravascular haemolysis, acute kidney injury and rhabdomyolysis. Lethal dose has been exceeded in our patient. However, he survived under intensive symptomatic therapy including use of chelation therapy and haemodialysis.
