According to the results of recent research works in the field of the history of linguistics, the cradle of the science about language should be found in Ancient India and Greece and China. Approximately two and a half millennium ago, the first discussion about Sanskrit and Classical Greek and Chinese arose from these three areas therefore the main purpose of the ancient linguistics? comparison here in this article is a reflection of the origin of general linguistics and a consideration about the initial stage of its evolution.
