In this paper I discuss three levels of the changes of local political elite in the Czech Republic after 1989 - the institutional, the political and the personal one. Two questions are answered with help of different research findings. Who/what can be called the children of revolution? What has happened with the children during the fifteen years? Today, local revolution is finished and local elites stabilized themselves. Legislative changes, politicisation of local politics and personal changes are rather gradual with different outcomes. Some of them are promising for the future, others are endangering the local self-government, especially in case of the smallest municipalities.

V textu diskutuji tři roviny změn lokálních politických elit v České republice po roce 1989 - institucionální, politickou a personální. S pomocí výzkumných zjištění odpovídám na dvě otázky: Koho/co můžeme označit dítětem revoluce? Co se stalo s dětmi revoluce za patnáct let? V současnosti je lokální revoluce ukončena a lokální elity se stabilizují. Legislativní změny, politizace lokální politiky a personální výměny jsou spíše graduální a s odlišnými výsledky. Některé slibuje lepší budoucnost, jiné ohrožují existenci samosprávy zvláště v nejmenších obcích.
