Original language description
This paper follows author's previous study on the music of American Moravians published in Czech, in 2002: Jan Vičar, Američtí moravané a hudba [American Moravians and Music], Opus musicum 34 (2002), No. 5, p. 13-23. Particular attention is paid to brassinstruments, especially trombones, which had in life of Moravian community, but also in their missionary work among the Indians an important role. Important personalities coming from Zauchtenthal (Suchdol nad Odrou), for example, the most famous Moravian missionary David Zeisberger (1721-1808).
