This study evaluates conceptions of musical time that became main contributions in the phenomenology of music: theories of Alfred Schütz, David Lewin and Judy Lochhead. Schütz picks up on Husserl´s ideas, Lewin brings detailed analysis of perceived temporal qualities of music and Lochhead concentrates herself on the temporal dimension of larger passages of music.
