Original language description
The paper deals with history of modern popular music in Olomouc. A special attention is paid to evolution of local folk, country, and modern tramping music. The most important musical bands and artists, for instance Falešní hráči, Bluegrass Nova or KarelPlíhal, are discussed in detail. The paper also reflects evolution of local institutional background of modern popular music in Olomouc. In this respect, especially the importance of festival Porta which took place here in the second half of the 1970s is highlighted.
