Pilgrims' badges from Telč in the context of their origin
Original language description
Last year was carried out on the spot emitted Old Pond in Telc archaeological research, who discovered the remains of a medieval settlement with the intersection of two roads. Here were found three fragments of medieval pilgrim badges, whose origin generally falls to 13th century. All three specimens derived from Italy. Provenance and dating of two badges is evident (the pilgrim badge from Rome and badge from Lucca). provenance of third-preserved piece is not certain (perhaps this could be the badge ofthe basilica S. Nicholas in Bari). Due to the low number of badges yet discovered in the Czech Republic is a discovery worthy of great attention.
