Thomas Aquinas' Summa Theologiae in Hebrew: A New Finding
Original language description
An anonymous metaphysical compendium in Hebrew attested in three Ashkenazi manuscripts from the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries is, in fact, a collection of selected passages of St. Thomas Aquinas' Summa Theologiae translated into Hebrew. The translator cannot be identified. The translation was made probably at the end of the fourteenth or beginning of the fifteenth centuries in Spain or in Italy. One of the three manuscripts was probably copied in Lithuania and belonged to Karaites.
