Original language description
The article presents information on the destruction of synagogues in Moravia, Czech Republic by Nazis during the Second World War. The history of Jewish settlements and communities in Holešov and Kroměříž, Czech Republic is examined, details of the architecture of synagogues in the two towns are analyzed, and the history of Nazi persecution of Jews in Germany and in the territory of present-day Czech Republic is described. The article is mainly focused on the use of arson and other Nazi methods of destruction to destroy the synagogues as the "symbols of racial enemy".
