American Gay Fiction as Seen through Czech Translations
Original language description
The article provides an overview of American gay (male) fiction translated into Czech. It shows that the image of American gay literature seen through Czech translations is necessarily limited. Unlike the works of authors belonging to other minorities, only a few of the works belonging to the canon of American gay literature have been translated into Czech, which results in Czech readers having a distorted view.
