A Note on Aristotelian Natural Philosophy in Ficino
Original language description
In this paper I argue that in spite of Marsilio Ficino's orientation towards Neo-Platonism, he is mostly indebted to Aristotelian methods in natural philosophy. This is true especially in his theory of the soul: the notion of individuation in matter, the substance/accident relation, teleology, movement, and infinite regress. - all these apply Aristotelian methods.
