The article is an introductory insight of the author's socio-economic dissertation into the life planning and financial awareness of professional football players in the Czech Republic. It mentions the foreign studies that the dissertation will build on,and discusses the current situation in Germany, the UK, the USA, and especially in the Czech Republic. The paper introduces case studies of the life of former professional football players and American football players, as well as projects that could improve athletes' life planning, and steps that would provide a clearer picture of the current situation of professional football players in the Czech Republic
