This one week international summer school brought together scholars and students of Asian Studies, Political Science and other related fields, to learn about and discuss possible future developments in Asia with a focus on ethnic conflict, terrorism threat and regional security. Discussed topics focused on theoretical background of ethnic identity, nationalism, ethnic conflicts and terrorism. It also offered concrete cases from the Central Asian countries as well as China.
