Original language description
The chapter deals with the last Jagiellonian king of Hungary and Bohemia Louis II, who had to organise the defence against the Ottoman Turks. As King of Hungary he resided mostly in Buda, but during his visit to Bohemia 1522-23, he tried to collect support for the anti-Turkish fight and in general showed interest in arms and weapons. He ceremonially left the city of Buda on 20 July 1526 to lead the army towards the South to meet the invading Turkish troops. He died at Mohács in the end of August.
