    The aim of the conference was to explore the influence of Averroes, to pinpoint the difficulties of the interpretation of his works, to study his followers and critics in the Latin, Arabic, Hebrew and Byzantine traditions.The conference invited scholars to discuss various attitudes towards Averroes, Averroism or anti-Averroism between the 15th and 17th century. During the 16th century, the editions of collected works by Aristotle were most often published with commentaries by Averroes. Averroes continued to be widely used down to the early 17th century The main topics of the conference: the analysis of the arguments and theses characteristic of the positions known as Latin averroism and anti-averroism, the reception of Averroes in the Arabic, Byzantine and Jewish world and the impact of Averroes (metaphysics, natural philosophy, psychology, ethics, logic).
